6pack 60
My dogs are not disposable. I take them on expecting years with them regardless of how they turn out. so if your dogs turn out 2 be jackers run hares and pulled up your keep them ? coz i no any top dog man on here wood not ? Then I suppose it is fortunate that I do not wish to be a top dog man. 3 Quote Link to post
riohog 5,708
you lot will end up with all old dogs.ok see were your comeing from but your end up with more old dogs then young dogs what be too old to work if you got time to keep old then yer and the money 2 feed them keep them if not i think they should give them to a good home . if you've taken a dog into your home fella it's your dog.............end of. every one is entitled to do what they want with a dog, but if the lurcher and terreir men who breed dogs over the last few hundred years took your approach there wouldnt be any good dogs around today FACT. think i know what you afe saying ,,but if its not up to the job and not through old age it should not be breed fom ie,,, neutered .if its to be passed on ,,, to prevent some numpty trying to breed from it ,, 1 Quote Link to post
BORDERSCOT 3,816
You should be bonded together, you expect your dog to be loyal, and want her to be loyal but then you do something that is the oppposite. strange Quote Link to post

mad al 146
"top dog men"? what the fu.ck are you on about? If "gettin rid" = "top dog men" well it ain't the dogs that are at fault. Quote Link to post
inan 841
in my eyes if it was a real good dog your keep it till it died but if it was a average do ya get rid of it when its past its sellbuy date ? My youngest dog is 4 years old, he dislocated his right leg at the the end of last season[1st week in March], he hit a dyke , he has had 2 operations to rebuild and stabilise the limb. At the moment ,he has three stabilising bolts screwed through his leg and 500lbs strain liger thread inside his leg, in place of the ligament that was ruptured, he will have this for the next 3/4 months ,and afterwards, if he ,and I are lucky ,he may be able to run a few bunnies ,but his days on, "the big land ," are over, cost so far? £2,600. I have an old dog, 10years old, and a general purpose lad of 5 now ,he does a bit of everything. I understand lads who say they can't keep passengers, which is what 2 of mine virtually are now, but I can't do otherwise ,just my way,and I'm not decrying those who think otherwise. There's a lot of dogs out there passed from pillar to post with little or no thought as to what affect this has on them. And along the way some halfwit or other will knock out a few litters here and there and pass them off as 'top class workers'. That moondog is why "there not any good dogs about anymore".
