Some of my post is not directly relating to hunting, but I dont feel like a wanabe.... I joined this site because I have always liked hunting, but not had much oppertunity to get involved. mole catcher 1 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Share Posted February 9, 2007 At what point does sellective membership become censorship? isnt this a open forum? isnt that why we get the good, the bad and the damn right bulls@*$!#s on here? sadly not all members are in a position where they can get out every few days to a hunting ground that holds masses of quarry, thus being able to post pics of dozens of rabbits etc. As for them being dickheads and messers, that is open to each mans interpretaion of what they have posted. young uns and novices alike have as much right to post as those of us who have ellervated ourselves to a higher pedderstool within our suger coated castles. At the end of the day, if you dont like or agree with a thread, dont read it or comment on it but dont say that because you dont like whats been written, that the poster should be kicked off this site. IanB 0 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Share Posted February 9, 2007 Ha ha lads, cmon now I started a few sites for the benefit of everyone...the thing is when you start limiting and selecting members your stopping potential good members from joining...in my opinion the hole point of these internet forums is for us to share our points, views and opinions with each other, if we start saying hes not coming in, nor him hes thick, etc you basically cut everyone off who may have an interest in fieldsports but is not yet a member.......thats not what this place is about...share out sport, share experience and try to help educate people who haven't got a lot of experience....most of all make friends and hunting partners these are the postive sides to an open hunting community.......why put bars up,if your names not down your not coming in...this way things just gets strangled to death.....fair dos theres more idiots, but there is everywhere??? Since leaving school I have done my best to introduce people to the game, if they want to learn I will try and teach them anything I can, Terriers have always been my thing (or should I say earth dogs ) and although I have used Lurchers on tonnes of occasions I have brought up and schooled very few, I won't jump in on a lurcher article that I know nothing about, I read and listen and ask questions. Ian mate, we know each other well enough and you know exactly what i am getting at, I don't want closed doors, and I don't want to keep people out, it just saddens me to see what a wonderful place you started go to shit through goons who post absolute nonsense. I must be one of the lucky ones, in the last 4/5 years I have met probably 30 lads that I could go and have a pint and feel comfortable with and some I have gotten extremely drunk besides, however I reckon I must have come across a hundred fuckpigs who I would rather chin than chat to. I'm all for meeting new lads and lasses if they are straight up, the goons can keep well away from me.
