Few more shots from the other day

 

lovely pics. A yellowhammer and a marsh tit if i am not mistaken....

 

....or maybe a yellowhammer and a young coal tit..... the white patch at the back of the head usually means a coal tit, not a marsh tit.... It looks like that one has the start of a patch, so perhaps a juvenile coal.....

The first one is mint, the bokeh is fab, beginning to lke the look of that lense..very well done.. :thumbs:

Cheers Bill! I had very obliging subjects the YH wasn't phased at all I was about 15ft from it and it sat at the very tip of the tree singing away got a few good ones and a lot of duffers lol.

good to see someone is keen on their birds though, there aren't too many of us about :thumbs:

Have you thought of putting a tele converter on it matie..a 2x converter on that set up and you will still get quality pics, with a 1.4 or 1.7 tc and your pics will still be tack sharp, right from wide open..I have a 1.4 tc on the same set up as an almost permanent fixture at the minute..
