why wont they bolt to deep to windy to much hunting some days so simple other days dig dig dig i mean in the winter

 

i dont hunt [bANNED TEXT] there f****n breeding

i hunt october - febuary

because they're breeding, give ferreting a rest until later in the year

In winter -

 

Noise - you, the dogs etc.

 

Wind across the holes.

 

Been ferreted before.

 

Been dogged to ground.

 

Too many holes, not enough ferrets.

 

Just cos they are wee b*****ds.

I use longnets 4-5m away from burrow so no noise no dogs could be wind ferreted by me only 5-6 ferrets to a burrow or wat u said they are all jus wee b*****ds

Sometimes that's just the way it goes, sometimes they pop out no bother and sometimes they grow balls of steel and decide to have a ruck with the ferrets. Then it's bolt or die time
