The boxing was for the 1996 Scottish schoolboys championship, 1996 being the year the boys were born.

1996 was their birth year. The schoolboy championships are held every year for the last 4 years of schooling. normally 13, 14 15 and 16. so it would of been at least 2009. They could try a "Necessity defence" if taken to court. It was a necessity to kill the hares for food for their family as their children had not eaten. Goes back to 1860 when the crew ate the cabin boy. I think they got found guilty next they will be banning schoolboy boxing
