Good Man 196
Is raising a saluki cross coursing pup hard. do they go deaf when you try training them to come back to you? if any coursing folk out their could share their experiences pre ban on how its like bringing them on, are they hard work and when eventually they are coursing do they come back each time or is it a case of trying to catch them? thanks. baw 4,360
is that a yes then? do you have them yourself? I wouldn't give them kennel space mate. Everyone I've ever seen has been average at best. But I'm sure like everything else, there will be good and bad........ I usually avoid things in life where money has took hold of it, it usually means quality goes out the window for quantity 1 Quote Link to post
iworkwhippets 12,539
How old is the dog, recall should be the 1st on your training list, a fenced off area is a good place to start. good luck with your dog Quote Link to post

There are many different lines and they cant all be lumped together. Some are as bidable and trainable as any other type of lurcher ,you need to get a pup out of that kind of stuff Quote Link to post

The actual thought there are dogs being bred that can't be trained is f*****g laughable. Quote Link to post

unicornleather 60
I have a Saluki x Whippet, fast and silent but does tend to have selective hearing sometimes, she's not the brightest spark but we are getting there. My last lurcher was whippet x jack russell, now she was 10 times more intelligent than this one but still had selective hearing occasionally, but I could live with that as most of the time she was spot on Quote Link to post
