ferreting in the usa

so I found out today that indeed ferreting is legal in the states. You do however need to call your local wildlife office to find any protected animals in your area.

I dont know why but i thought it was illegal, maybe in some states then?

i have not lost one yet and im a old man now and ? so what i do believe that the gray tree rat and the mink all came from the good old USA time to give them a bit back lol

so they baned ferrets in the uk would you stop going ?? cause i will never stop ferreting . it tuck me all day one time to do 2, 15 holers a and 3, 6 holers because of my age if they kill in i sit a wait till they come out because young man when you get to my age you just cant dig past 3 foot try it at 67 . and you will see what you can do and what you can NOT .no harm intended

thank you SAXONMASTER you must never stop only when you cant walk any more i still love his way of hunting . witch ferret finder do you have? i got one of the new ones mk3m it tuck me almost a full season to get to grips with it buts ok now lol

hate digging no old boys who stil worked at 67 and digging isnt a hardship if you know how and have the [bANNED TEXT] spades , and nothing better than breking through and getting rabbs if fereting and a fox if terrier work

thats ok mate. i have the mk3m too mate it had some bad press when it first came out but ive never had a problem with it the mk1 is really good too but your knackered if it breaks. ive had a prolapsed disc for over a year and a half so digging is a very last result for me and then i have to call it a day and go home after a hard dig unless i have someone with me who can dig but it will never stop me getting out i proper love it and will never stop. having my 2nd epidrual (not sure if i spelt that right) tomorrow which always helps with my back. do you do any other hunting mate

i also do a little of shooting ,with rimfire 22 and a bsa scorpion t10 22 , i have a paterdale terrier witch i work at rabbits(with the ferrets )she hold the rabbits when they are in the net till i can get there and i fish as well but i cant go out for long at any of them ( but i do still have a 12 bore but it kicks me to much now so like me it dont go out that much with it ) thank you ,

fair play mate i had the t10 nice air rifle that mate but i like to be on the move and get bored sitting out waiting for that rabbit that never comes hahaha. im more into rough shooting with the 12 bore but ferreting with the dog is number one getting a harris in august which will be a great addition to the ferreting. where you based mate
