jambay5 191
Well after thinking about this for months, have made up my mind to get it done! its a shame really as he is a lovely dog but its for the best before he kills or gets killed by another dog! i just hope it sorts him out and can start letting him off the lead again!! Have any of you guys had this problem?? Quote Link to post

lurcherterrierferret 2
Mine's only 11 months and already showing signs of agression I can't see having his balls off making any difference, he's aggressive through fear when on the lead, and doesn't like it when boistrous dogs come over to him, or me Edited April 12, 2011 by lurcherterrierferret Quote Link to post

lurcherterrierferret 2
You might be right, all it does it lower testosterone levels which doesnt always eliminate aggression, as that could be there for a different reason. My dog won't be getting done anyway Edited April 11, 2011 by lurcherterrierferret Quote Link to post

3 Turns 326
ALRIGHT MATE. WHAT HAPPENS IN 1/2 SEASONS TIME IF YOUR DOG TURNS OUT TO BE THE BEST DOG YOUVE EVER OWNED AND YOU SEE A BITCH YOU,D LOVE TO BREED HIM WITH. JUST A THOUGHT DOGS WILL FIGHT REGARDLESS OF BALL,S OR NOT. MUZZELING COULD BE A CHEAPER MORE EFFECTIVE OPTION ,WITH AN OPTION TO BREED AT A LATER DATE. ITS YOUR DOG THOUGH ,AND ITS YOUR DECISION THAT MATTERS ATB. 1 Quote Link to post
RETIC80 11
Sure i've read/heard somewhere before, that once the dog has been done, they can give off confusing scents to other males, increasing aggression towards it. Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
I was told that chopping the balls secures there mental state where it was before the operation. So if done when a pup they never really mature properly. And if an aggressive dog has the op it won't make a blind bit of difference? All the best. Gaz Quote Link to post

scalesntails 118
Cutting of a dogs bollocks achieves 1 thing only. It stops him from having any offspring. Most aggression in dogs is fear based not testosterone based. Castration is a myth started by breeders to keep their prices high and helped along by vets who make a large chunk of their profit from it. Training and consistency is the only way to improve a dogs behaviour not cutting bits off. Quote Link to post
