Two nice afternoons on linseed drilling

The first bag on a very warm sunny without a breath of wing the birds where high in gin clear blue skies but pulling in a treat the field was not fully rooled and had to packup early when they returned to rollit finnished with 59 very plump woodies.

 

 

I returned to the same field and same place under a small ash tree ,now fully rolled with 400 or so birds pushed of and a good wind from right to left the same bright sun but with more clound made it perfect .

The birds return straight away and I knocked down 50 in two hours it easied off then and had a steady pull until half six and called it day with a cartridge to kill ratio of 77 birds for 82 shots one of my best ratios.
