my jack pup is now 8 month old and has come in to season, will she fetch my lurcher bitch in season as ive herd when one bitch starts the rest sometimes follow?

its my jrt fist time at 8 month and her mother is a six month bitch so if mine a six monthly will it be 6 months from now, how does it all work cheers mick

we call the first season a puppy season ... my bitch i had, had a puppy season at ten month then another season at 12month , i wouldnt worry to much about whether she will be a 6 monther or not at the moment wait till she is a bit older

Two months between season never heard of that!.

Always kept bitch`s upto 6 at once living in a pack, Usually a bitch will have Her first season from anything from 6 months up to even 2 years old,just depending on how your bitch has matured,breeding,exercise and even diet. You will find that as they grow older they will all end up as near the same cycle as each other, and a bitch coming into season can spur another on. This is why in a racing Gryehound kennel, they remove season bitch`s to a seperate quarter. Didnt really understand Your post re Your other bitch, how old is She and when was Her last season.

My 3 bitches all come into season within a month of each other - just once a year between April and May. My pup (6months) hasn't had her first season yet but I'm assuming once she does she's likely to fall into the same pattern as the other 3.
