dai bando 2
My mate has an hatsan air rifle. We tried it with a few different .22 pellets but it was just spitting them everywhere. We unscrewed the silencer and it started grouping nicely. We put the silencer back on and pellets all over the place, some were even missing the 1ft square target!! Is there anyway to put this right apart from leaving the silencer off as the barrel is very short then and awkward to cock. Quote Link to post

barrywhite 282
somthing may be out of center inside the silencer .the pellets hit the silencer so you may clear the obstruction with a round file or drill.or the thread on the barrel my be out of center .can you take the silencer apart? is the silencer nice and tight and not moving when in place? davyt63 1,845
Hi buddy if your silencer is not threaded to the barrel, you can try a quater turn in 4 shots This will remove silencer fault.if it is still clipping ditch it! And contact me for a MK2 Twink regards Davy Quote Link to post
dai bando 2
It's a screw thread. It's nice and tight. I can take iapart, there's rings inside like penny washers with holes only slightly bigger than a pellet. I think I'll try drilling the holes bigger as they must be off centre to the barrel. pianoman 3,587
You say the rifle groups better when the silencer is removed. Has the rifle been dropped? Could be the silencer took the impact and the threaded joint has gotten bent out of true and pellets are clipping the silencer's muzzle as they exit through? It happens like that sometimes with accidental drops. You'll know when you fit a new silencer. Simon. Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
Is it a Parker Hale moderator you have? If it is, and you've taken it to pieces without using the bar, then the crimped inner washers could well be out of line, causing clipping. If it's not a PH mod then ignore me. Quote Link to post
