Quite right, heat and ferrets don't mix well. I fill some empty coke bottles with water and freeze them, stick them in with the ferrets bedding to help keep them cool. Also make 'milk cubes' or freeze some cubes of mince to help keep them occupied and cool during the hot hours. Thanks for reminding us all! 1 Quote Link to post

I start mine as kits by letting them run through bits of drainpipe. By moving on to sections of 1 and 1/4 inch downpipe they get the idea of squeezing through smaller diameter tubes . The next stage is to use drinking straws (obviously not those bendy novelty ones that come all twisted into bizarre shapes . That would just be silly .) Simply insert the straws into coke bottles and the ferrets do the rest.... 1 Quote Link to post
