eddiej35 10
Before you all jump down my neck with the bullsh.t whistles i didnt say they were all shot in the daytime , we did lamp most of them and most were shot in the first 5 weeks. Yes they were very thick and the numbers were there to start with . The last 3 weeks we worked bloody hard to get the remainder of what we had. Markha and Ideation , you only gave the bullsh.t whistle because as you said you have never had that many rabbits in one location so you cant possibly beleive its possible. Like i said in another post , that was pest control but i prefer the odd rabbit that was stalked and well worked for any day . Dont knock what can be done guys just because your never going to get the chance to do it for yourself. I dont knock anyone on what they get while they are out i just hope they had a great day .The picture in the link was at a shoot where i did a feature for Airgunner last year and it was in an earlier post , we shot this lot at a later date between 4 of us over 24 hours on the same ground. it was over 350 total for that 24 hours..Now you can whistle all you like guys but it can be done. http://i655.photobucket.com/albums/uu276/eddiej35/GetAttachment.jpg Edited April 11, 2011 by eddiej35 2 Quote Link to post

I said that 'hunting' with an air rifle (i.e i the form of daytime stalking / static shooting) was in reality a poor form of pest control, and i actually said that it was an efficient tool for 'shooting', i.e lamping. I also NEVER EVER suggested that i hadn't killed that many bunnies, in fact i don't think i mentioned my own shooting/hunting/pest control whatsoever, did i? "Dont knock what can be done guys just because your never going to get the chance to do it for yourself."  Whats with the arrogance? Do me a favor and read what i write before passing comment in future. Edited April 11, 2011 by Ideation 1 Quote Link to post
markha 99
Yep whistling is what I did, regarding your 2500 rabbits between 2 of you over 60 days now you say the picture was from another shoot for airgun mag; with 4 shooters over 24hrs, then you post another pic above with a hundred or so rabbits in it but say there were 350, fine if thats the case, but theres no good posting pics of a small haul of bunnies and mention the number 2500 in the same sentence. Why not you might say? Well because personally if I shoot 6 rabbits and can be bothered to take a picture then it will contain 6 rabbits, Believe me mate, If I Had a haul of 350 rabbits over a 24hr period I would damn well make sure all 350 of them were in the picture! as its easy to count a hundred odd rabbits in your last photo of 350. Call me a pedant, I'm not bothered, I'm also not bothered that you keep harping on about writing for airgun magazine, is that supposed to add credibility to your words and reputation? For me it does nothing mate, I'm not a starry eyed teenager. I also never mentioned not shooting a whole heap of bunnies, as In my time I have also been a part of some very large exterminations with other shooters, so I'm not going to jump back about your comment about 'never going to get the chance to do it for yourself' as I have, many years ago. If you and Chimp were ever to get together for a shoot I'm sure there would be no more bunnies left in the UK Quote Link to post
Teddd 84
its not a dig at anyone but i notice huge write up's and a pic of a magpie or one rabbit etc.. if im going out for a few hours lamping with an air rifle i get mightly pissed off if i dont get a min of 20 rabbits , as for the daytime i forget rabbits and just shoot pigeons or crows and if there is nothing about i find another bit of land what is holding the gear. i understand and waiting for the reply of ' it's just getting out there and doing it is enough' for some people but if a land owner has allowed me to shoot there land they want me there for a reason... to do a tidy job !! i cant believe cambridgshire is the only place holding silly numbers of rabbits this year prove it Quote Link to post

There you go bud , i dont give a monkeys how many was in the picture it was pest control not bragging rights. If i shot six and worked my socks off for them i would to rather show six in the picture. I posted the picture as another poster said it wasn`t very good using an air rifle for serious pest control. Obviously i read the post wrong so i stand corrected. Call me a pedant, I'm not bothered, I'm also not bothered that you keep harping on about writing for airgun magazine.is that supposed to add credibility to your words and reputation? For me it does nothing mate, I'm not a starry eyed teenager. Again , you must be reading the same line from a post because i dont recal harping on about the Mag and beleive me i dont feel any better than the next guy on here because i write about what i do. markha 99
Shooting Times 13th April Page 13 under the banner "Have your say". Seems that someone has been reading either The THL or Pigeon Watch forums and has posted a letter regarding forum posts about 'bagging up'. I agree with this guy completely, stop posting pics or bragging about big hauls of animals you have shot. Quote Link to post
