mal mason 7
Hi guys, just wondering if any one can help me, i have had a springer from a pup and i bought him to work under a hawk and he has trained up very well to commands and whistle and works well with the hawk and the hawk works well with him following him every step, he is doin everything i ask of him when i ask, EXEPT going into thick cover he will go through trees and bushes and light cover but the likes of bramble and gorse or things like that, he also dont like water ha ha, he would rather go round a mile than swim through a streem or pond. He will break rabbit and pheasant from the field and we have had some great hunting days with him and the hawk but he just wont go through thick cover or water, i have tried the ball in the bush and the dummy in the water but you wouldnt believe the balls and dummies i have lost he just sits there looking at me as if to say go get it urself. Can any one help any advice would be very much appreciated, regards mal Edited April 8, 2011 by mal mason Quote Link to post
