The old fishermen at flambourough head were i used to have holidays used to call terns sea swallows i dont know if it was just a local nick name for them or weather other sea fishermen called them the same.atb dell

I was just about to say that it was a sandwich tern (honestly), its the only specie with a white body and black beak, all the other white species have red beaks (or yellow for the little tern)

I knew a girl and we used to knick name her she swallows, and she used to do a tern :laugh::laugh: for 7/6p

This is the honest truth, there was a pub in the post of Blyth called the commercial, and ladies of the night would frequent, once you made eye contact with them or gave them a nice smile they would cross their legs and show you the sole of their shoe, on here was the their price, which was always around 7/6p in them days, a days wage for me..
