Cheap Remington Rifle Dealer

I'm trying to locate a cheap Remington rifle dealer. Having had experience of vast price differences between dealers on other rifles (my Anschutz's price varied from £450 to £950 !!), I'm interested to hear what others have to say on the matter. I'm willing to travel so anywhere in the UK is a possiblity.

look on guntrader to compare prices around the country. (www.guntrader.co.uk.) then just have a word with your nearest rfd and for a small charge they can get it sent to them on your behalf.

Going rate for the 'small charge' is around £25.

One thing to ask, when buying "cheap" is it a genuine import via Edgar bros? because if it isnt, they wont honour any guarantee with the gun, it would have to go back to the states for a warrantied repair.

Cheap, isnt always best, after sales service is worth those few extra quid, from a reputable dealer, who can usually do most jobs on the guns too.I guarantee you, most of the cut price merchants dont do any gunsmithing work, they might as well be discounting watches, or perfume, or ..carrots.

baldie is correct...needs to be a genuine import otherwise, no 3 year warranty. I know I'm biased, but good service and back up are worth more than a £20 saving when buying a new gun.

Re: 700 SPS - it's not what I'm after - no heavy varmint barrel and cheap plastic stock that doesn't have a alu frame

 

Re: Guntrader - thanks, I do keep my eye on it but nothing has come close yet.

 

Re: Watch out for non genuine imports - the best quote I've had is from an genuine Edgar Bros source :thumbs-up: . The other option though would be to go to one of the big gun trading firms and get them to price match or price beat - which have told me they would do quite happily .

 

Any other cheap dealers out there ??
