Rabbithunter 456 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Share Posted February 9, 2007 i for one dont like leaving a bowl of food for a dog, and let him/her eat it as and when they please. i like a dog to eat the food there & then...... to teach this simply devise in your head a method of "take it while it's there or its gone" this might mean the dog will go without food for a day, this wont harm the dog, as long as it has access to water. obviosuly you wont enforce a method of such until the pup is a suitable age with skye i did this from 7 months old, but blade he just ate it all from when he was very young so i didnt have to use this method at all with him ...
