tinytiger 840
Rather than make national service compulsory make it a choice. If you refuse every job offered for 12 months pack your bags lad, you're going to Afganistan. what buisness has any british person in afgahnistan

Guest thebigdog
slightly off topic i know but... a couple off days ago i found out that parents from around europe can come to ireland and work, and while working here can claim benefits for their children that are staying in their birth country. like the children dont ever have to set foot on irish soil and their parents can still claim dole for em.. dont know if its the same in britan, just realy boiled me piss. also someone said that they find it hard to find out the benefits their entitled to, there's organization's that you can go to( cant remember what they are called) and they help you claim as much as you can, if you can belive it. i reckon the imi's got that one well sused.

trooperman 73
Well there's to be an overhaul of the incapacity benefit as of today, of the 1.5 million (yes you read it right) they reckon a third could be knocked off it. Bring it on, the days where men lay on their sides in coal seams or injured themselves in heavy industry have gone to be replaced by spongers who have acne or a fear of getting on buses, total spongers bleeding the country dry. No doubt we'll have some defending them, but a move for the better in my opinion. Bang one. Don't forget that half those false claimers are workshy layabouts lurking with big badly socialised status dogs (giving other dogs and dog-owners a bad name). My mate's wife is from Canada and she thought we were joking about all the benefits on offer in this country. Bring back national service: A year in the forces, or a year at the local council/government offices. Why not? that wont work yesterday the conlibs killed of 50,000 from the services navy army airforce. paul
steve66 3,469
I know some good lads that have lost there jobs recently and its sole destroying for them to be on benefits, they cant stand the idea of been classed the same as the piss head lay abouts that you see drinking in town Theres alot of genuine people on the dole through no fault of there own hopefully they'll find work soon
trooperman 73
well i think thats put a cat among the pigeons...from 1977 joined the army ended up in the 22nd bat royal marines left in 1989 since then been working for the same boss on the farm outside most days love it...but would say i dont moan about paying for people on benefits it aint worth it but only a very small amount of tax and national insurance goes to keeping people on the benefit they are on...also the goverment cut 50,000 jobs in the services yesterday were are these people all going to go...government figures say that 65% of buisneses are not employing people...27% of buisneses are clossing down and 8% of buisneses are not employing but moving workers around in shop...now government figures also say there is nearly 3 million unemployed they also say across the country there is about 58,000 jobs so where are the other 2.4 million going to go and 3 million is just what is known about that is without the 1.8 million in a training scheme and another 2.6 million in adult colledge thats 7.4 million people so tell me where are they going to work...and i am sure some of the replies about the disabled are just for a laugh but to those that think they are all a bunch of lazy work shy b*****ds and spongeing scum i hope you never a have accident and end up limb less or brain dead or left unable to move...so that another bigot can not tar you with the same brush...not all people on the dole are there because they cant be bothered to work and not every one on the sick is a work shy lazy b*****d as they were called...my mate lost his left arm and left leg and half his left hip to an argentine bomb on the green in 82 he aint work shy and he aint a lazy b*****d he got that to help people like you who have nothing better to do than run your mouth of about things you have no understanding of but if you want to pass remarks and i have been guilty of it my self in the past make sure you have your facts right first. paul
