Incapacity benefit

Recommended Posts

Well there's to be an overhaul of the incapacity benefit as of today, of the 1.5 million (yes you read it right) they reckon a third could be knocked off it.

Bring it on, the days where men lay on their sides in coal seams or injured themselves in heavy industry have gone to be replaced by spongers who have acne or a fear of getting on buses, total spongers bleeding the country dry.

No doubt we'll have some defending them, but a move for the better in my opinion.

Bang one. :big_boss: Don't forget that half those false claimers are workshy layabouts lurking with big badly socialised status dogs (giving other dogs and dog-owners a bad name). My mate's wife is from Canada and she thought we were joking  about all the benefits on offer in this country.

Bring back national service: A year in the forces, or a year at the local council/government offices. Why not?

The argument people use is that there are too many pacifists but that's fine the ones that don't want to fight can work in care homes or as binmen etc. Just don't let women off it some of them are bigger trouble makers than men.

why should anyone be forced to either serve in the military or do a job they probably dont want?

ive done both of those but off my own back, if someone tried to force me i wouldnt of.

This is whole point. These people are on benefits because they don't want a job. 2 years of military service teaches you more than just how to fire a gun. Everyone I know that was in the forces is a well rounded, tidy and decent person. I imagine there are some twats that have been in the forces but you get a few twats everywhere. It does seem to set people up with the right attitude though. I never did join the army due to being young and in love. It's one of my biggest regrets.

I would imagine most people on here don't actually want to work but they understand that they need to work.

a lot of people couldnt handle life in the forces,i think there would be a lot of suicides if people were forced to serve.

im not saying the government should support anyone, they shouldnt imo except the old and those who physically and mentally are incapable of working.

i dont want the government trying to run my life, all i want from them is to; patrol the border's,lock up or execute those who deserve it and fund school's.

well i think thats put a cat among the pigeons...from 1977 joined the army ended up in the 22nd bat royal marines left in 1989 since then been working for the same boss on the farm outside most days l

These reforms are all well and good if they target the alchys and druggies who are all on incapacity benefit but more than likely it will be targeted against people who have worked most of their lives

Rather than make national service compulsory make it a choice. If you refuse every job offered for 12 months pack your bags lad, you're going to Afganistan.

exactly what you want in Afghan, your life being in the hands of a bunch of lazy ill-disciplined people who have no desire to be there.

how about the benefits never really start? you get just enough to exist on (wouldnt be opposed to food stamps) and if you turn down 3 job interviews they stop.

benefits should never have been preferable to employment.

Well up until 3 years ago i would have said "f**k them all, get out an work and scrap benefits".....a very immature attitude to be honest. Thats becasue 3 years ago my Mum took very ill with pneumonia, was in intesive care and was 5 mins from her life support machine being switched of when she made a remarkable recovery... But from then on trying to get any help finacially has been nothing short of a nightmare. She has worked all her life, sometimes having 3 jobs to do and never asked for a penny but after falling ill they have basically pushed her back to work where she is in constant pain..... :censored:

Then i get to drive past the local pubs and see the same f*****g faces i have seen standing there for years smoking and drinking there lifes away without a f*****g care in the world.... :wallbash:

I think the systems just complicated and people who work dont know how to get money when they need it,but lots of these lazy c*nts you see know exactly what they are 'entitled' to,i had the same problem trying to help my missus's uncle get some help after a bad stroke.

I think most people know theres a fair percentage of shurkers on benefits, most of us will know some and they should be made to work, theres also genuine people i know who are constantly hassled by the authorities and yet the shurkers arent???

Our companys main work is converting/building specialist disabled living accommodation, ussually the clients themselves are very genuine cases, but their relatives "live off them" ok i would'nt fancy looking after a bed ridden relative, but they make a career out of it,foreign holidays,2 new cars and all the latest gadjets you can think of,i dare'nt say to much but if you really knew what goes on and how much money is wasted by social service's you would riot in the streets, unless you think £9,500 for a "motorised sink" is ok,and the person in question could walk and stand/sit pretty normally, its a f.....g discrace.

The first thing that should happen to save money is "SACK EVERY OT FROM EVERY DEPARTMENT" f....in useless wannabe interior designers, who are wasting money as we speak.

My great grandad fought at the Somme, lost an arse cheek [and his leg at 70,due to the wound]but still manage nearly 40 years down the pit,so dont tell me your'e on the sick with "depression" or f....n acne,if youre really that depressed all you can do is sit in the boozer all day spending our hard earned tax money,do us a favour and top yourself.

I doubt any of our ethnic minority friends will be forced into work,if they are assessed it will be by their own kind on the whole,we should demand the percentage's of of people ousted off the benefit system and their ethnicity be made public, dont hold your breath though.

Yes and it needs a serious overhaul on the way the system works. Basically she has problems walking very far nowadays, a couple of hundred yards and she is knackered and yet still they say she is not intitled to certain benefits.... :wallbash:

On a better note her employers (Asda) have been amazing in keeping a job available for her....... :notworthy:

Don't forget that National Service is not the same as conscription.

In countries with National service (Austria, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Israel, Iran, Norway, Finland, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey) it has 2 options: Military service (forces) or Civil Service (working for council/local government).

No-one should be forced to fight if they don't want to, but no-one should need to be forced to work either.

So you think we should provide benefits for someone for the rest of there lives if they decide they don't want to work then?
