KenKeeping 13
You know what you are saying about the sal body with whip feet? Well aint it the same with Grey/Whip Brad? Quote Link to post
barnslyben 74
3/4saluki/ghd x whippet 21"30lbs to give you an idea, good bitch hunts rats up to munty, nice cross Quote Link to post
stubblebasher 150
I see what you are saying. I wasnt so much on about keeping the family lines as such as much as getting a pure bred off him for myself in the future! Probably explained it wrong, Im'e sorry! But as far as whippet/Saluki cross is concerned thats what I would like to do once he has had time to mature. I do like the idea of a small lurcher. But def getting one as a companion, probably a couple of years old. Might lead the Sal up the right path. Go for it mate , you have got a lot better chance of getting something decent, than if you put him to a greyhound .Recent coursing history will tell you that. 1 Quote Link to post

KenKeeping 13
Thats it see, I dont want size, I want the smallness of a whip, staminer of a Sal! As far as Sals all being braindead burners, I dissagree! Its just that they are very strong willed, and yeh, headstrong when on to something, that people are led to belive that they are ALL braindead. Can you honestly say that they are a lot worst than any sighthound when they have something in their sights and you want them back. Whats more interesing to them, a good run and a mouth full of fur at the end of it, or a slip back on the lead and a long walk home? I recon all dogs would rather the chase, and obtain selective hearing at specific moments, lol. 1 Quote Link to post

firstrike 21
It would be interesting to see a straight cross between whippet and saluki, would be ideal i reckon. whenever this topic is brought up we only see lurcher to whippet breedings and never a genuine half cross.. Quote Link to post
