A day on the pigeons

Well first time on the pigeons on my permission since last year as the game shooting seasons come to an end ... four of us shooting ... set up me hide and 15 fullbodied decoys with a floater on the clover whilst two lads stood the woods and another was on a drilled feild. Very slow start up until 10 oclock other lads seemed to be getting a fair bit of shooting and i just wasnt after bagging 6 birds i decided to up sticks and go walk about packed all me gear away on with the facemask and away i went into the a large ancient silver birch wood known as the dukes wood... woodies kept comming in small gangs from all over the place and were travelling well seens how there was a strong wind and after a couple of left and rights and if i do say so without being big headed some good shooting from me ... my finally tally was 25 ... all together the final bag for the day was 65 woodpigeon 4 jackdaws and a carrion crow cartn wait for next week to be honest no photos sorry lads was having to much fun. all the best ... atch
