Morning Shoot

Recommended Posts

So me and my shooting buddy (alexarrigone) were out saturday night at the local bar we were chatting about our permission and saying that we have never been for a hunt at sunrise so we decided to go the following morning ( sunday ).

After waking up later than planned around 6:00am i quickly rushed to grab all my gear and get to my mates, we arrived at the farm around 6:45 and was already completey light.

Got our rifles out the car and hopped the fence, i spotted a 40m rabbit at a hedgeline in the field on the left so i leant on the fence crosshairs on its KZ and DOH! pellet hit the ground under its chin - i forgot the that the hedgeline was a 1 dot holdover ( early morning + late night = poor judgement ) but luckily she just hopped a couple of feet left and then thwack, baracuda made its mark!

we walked up the road further into the permission and there were quite alot out, most of which ran as we did not expect this, so we split up - i walked round for about 45 mins and could not get in range with any quarry so made my way back to the front field where i saw alex holding up a bunny on the other side which he shot at 45m.

then it started to rain so we took cover for a couple of minutes untill it died off, then had a walk round again, this time there wasnt alot around and any that were took off. then we saw a bushy tail running along a hedgeline TREE RAT! he ran up a tree and stopped i could just see so i lased the tree - 35m, half a dot holdover and a slight right to left crosswind didnt stop him falling from the might of the baracuda!

and basically 'THATS ALL FOLKS'
