hello mate i usually go by one whole rabbit per two ferrets. this will last "mine" two days and i remove anything thats left BUT i only do this over the colder months, during the warmer part of the year i prefer to feed twice a day mince as i find they can eat it qiucker therfore less time for flies to settle. this is what i do as it suits my ferrets but may not yours. atb mart

there shouldnt be anything left of a rabbit mate, only the jacket. As they will eat the lot including the bones. If there aree bones and bits and pieces left, you know they arent starving.

Get them on meat mate. Its up to yourself how much you feed them. Wether you want slim healthy fit quick ferrets. Or heavy low ferrets....

I don't have food in the cage all the time because i feed meat.. there fed at the moment around the 10pm mark & i remove anything that's left the morning after.. they don't have access to dry food so they get there next feed at the same time roughly the following day

have done this for years & have no issues what so ever with the ferrets :thumbs:

i have two jills and i just give them a handful of alpha biscuits between them and so does my mate with his. They get fed this once a day and when i go down sometimes there are still buscuits left. If i can get hold of any cheap meat/liver at work i give them that as a treat, or like others say if i have had them out working and we get some rabbits i just chuck a rabbit in and let them eat that.

On a serious note, during the working season (winter), my lot fire through a whole rabbit in a sitting leaving only the jacket, or a whole phesant, it's great to watch it all go so rapidly. They eat less in summer, due to doing a lot less physical work, and not having to keep warm.
