disinfectant

I was just wondering if there is any one on the forum that could steer me in thr right direction for some decent disinfectant for cleaning up after dogs, i used to use jays fluid untill they took the strong distinctive odor out of it, and now cant seem to find one that would last a bit longer than the average stuff i get from asda, cheers mal

i use the blue stuff they put in porta loos --- got it off ebay cant give you its name the labels have all come off ... i used to use jayes this stuff cleans and smells good ...

I agree with Sean .................... Virkon S is the best on the market in my opinion. Comes in handy tablet form and kills everything.

used to use it on my chicken sheds .. spray the kennels with it twice a year and i use the portaoo cleaner daily ...

I still use jayes mate hell of a price now as well. You could try agricultural stores for some dairy disinfectant but some of that stuff is way to strong so read all labels i just scub with jayes every other day a good wash down with water inbetween.

It smells rubbish now, it used to have an amazing smell, but they're changed the ingredients ............ My brother in law makes it, apparently the fragrance was changed due to the amount exported to America, they prefer the un fragranced variety ...... b*****ds.

if you can find it any where then try odour block its industrial , we use it at the abbatoir where i work..... it comes from chemex ... its smells great and gets rid of the smell of piss and other unwanted smells ......

Do the strong smelling fluids not put your dogs nose off? I spent a night in a house where they used some sort of "shake and vac" awfull.

Go on Ebay and type in MISTRAL, its about 14 quid for 5ltrs delivered. Gets cheaper the more you buy. Various fragrances and all are high spec (theres a spec sheet on the listing). 50ml makes 2 galls. I use it for dogs and ferts which are right outside the kitchen and have no probs with smells etc.
