chicken identification

bought a few chucks the other day off a farmer buddy took the little lad with me was planing on a few more warrens white stars black rocks to go with the ones i allready have anyway collects my birds and my boy spots this chicken roaming about and took a shine to it so ask my mate what bird it was and he says aint got a clue if you catch it you can have it SO game on chased this thing over a good acre of land was bolloxed lol i think its a hybrid sought of warren black rock but was wondering if the good people off here can give me there opinions PLEASE atb bulls4lifepost-43437-0-92316700-1301859601_thumb.jpg

this is only a guess but i would say it has some welsummer in it. i bred some welsummer cross warrens last year your hen has a similar shape,tail, and markings to my crosses.

just looked up welsummer and so far would agree with you fela :thumbs:

it would be intresting to know what colour the eggs she lays are. my welsummers lay large terracotta coloured eggs and the welsummer crosses eggs are nearly the same colour just a shade lighter in general. the crosses however are much better layers than the welsummers.

darbo these are the eggs she lays smaller than the average egg and a light blue in colour :blink: in the pic there next to a normal egg to compare sizes the more info i get on this bird the better and would be most appreciatedpost-43437-0-39475700-1301932766_thumb.jpg
