SeanTheHawker 0
rolf weighed in at 1lb 5.5, altho it was to be a cold one, i still headed off. was reading -4 in the car . went to a new farm i got a few weeks ago, but never lamped it before. the first feild produced a few slips but nothing worth talking about. up the hill i headed and about 30 sheep were at the place were i was expecting to see the rabbits. the sheep continued to follow me and really spoilt that area, i had one decent flight, but no catch. crossed over a fench to where the hill slopes down again, on the hill lay about half a dozen rabbits, i headed down to where they would be heading, but could just see them all bolthing at the side of the beam, when i did get into position there was only the one left, it headed downhill and into cover, with rolf hitting it, but not holding. the rest of that field produced nothing. crossedthe road into another field, there was alittle bump in the field, as i went over it rabbit was caught in the beam, rolf chased and smacked it hard right at the ditch, i was sure he had a good grip of it, but it shrugged him of. then crossed to another ditch, rolf was in hot pursuit, but didnt get back on terms with it. most of the other rbabits had gone in the feild now, and the ones left were soon gone when i made my way to them. next feild, wasbrilliant, hadabout a dozen rabbits, all sitting about 100 yards out, but by teh time i got roudn to them, walkign on the crunchy frozen grass, the had all gone. managed one slip in that field, but the rabbit ran under a trailer so took the light of it. next field again, had about a dozen rabbits in it, thsi time there was a bit of dried grass, so they would sit probually well. made my way to rabbit, as i got closer, it went on the squat. then bolted when we got in line with it and the ditch, it headedfor the far ditch tho, so i had to leg it to keep it lit for rolf, a good 60 or 70 yards and rolf had nailed it, both tumbled but when i got their, rolf wasin full control. was out for about 3 quaters of an hour at this stage, and it was bloody cold lol, so i just called it a night at that.
