This was taken on the Spey in Febuary, that is ice on that moorhens back, tough wee guy.

this is the Spey a mere couple of months ago....

I know that bridge, spent many a happy hour on the Spey chasing migratory fish to no avail! :yes:

 

I know how you feel mate. I have whipped the water to a foam there many a time without as much as a hows your father. It's the spey bridge near Grantown. :thumbs:

You would think their legs would freeze off! They have evolved a special design of blood vessels,the warm blood going to the feet is in very close contact with the vessels full of near-freezing blood coming from the feet. This, apparently raises the temperature of the blood going to the heart a small amount and helps make everything more efficient. From what i can gather.. :victory:

Yes its the 'new' bridge not too far from Oglesbys casting platform. I like the old bridge better myself, especially that deep hole under it... :blink: I have spent weeks on that stretch....

Yes, I know the bridge you mean mate. It's a lovely part of the world, Mortimers is a lovely if not expensive shop too.
