was thinking about getting a howa .223 rifle for foxing, just wondering has any body got any experience with these rifles if so could use thier advice thanks

I have had one for nearly two years, its a standard with a hogue stock, my shooting partner has one with the walnut stock,

does all what i bought it for, thats foxing. Shoots great groups especially with home loads, a great gun for the money, nothing special

but gets the job done.

I have tried most of the sierra range in bullets finding the 55grain blitz kings the best on fox

loaded with 25 grain of hodgdons H335.

Have only tried the ppu in bought ammo using the cases for reloading and they do a good job but the groupings vary.

I hope this of use to you.
