Hi every one

I have been looking into pellet damage of late, and also hearing it a lot lately.

So I decided to check out my last two tins of AA field .177 8.4gr

After washing and lubing them, when I started to dry them and roll my hand over to turn them, it was then I noticed the duff one’s

“as I did have my glasses on, this time!â€

Now I don’t usually look this in to this too much as I usually discard them as I use them!

And then I got to thinking that the shots I missed @ H.F.T the other week, and some really easy close shots too.

So I took some pics for you all to moan about bent skirts, and damaged pellets. I can honestly say I have only had this tin where I have noticed the damage more than any

Yep mate, I can honestly say that on loading my 10 shot mag I end up throwing atleast 3 out as they are bent and nothing to do with me being ham fisted.

Damn good pellets but the trade off is the softness, it does add up to a lot of discarded pellets and they aint cheap.

I used wash and lube my pellets, but I dont bother at all now as I havent noticed much difference in accuracy, it all in the head mate, all in the head :)

I know what you mean about the trajectory in the wind, oh boy, it was windy today, had a patrol round my new limits and acquired a permission expansion from a bloke on a lawnmower!

hi mike

well done buddy

yeah the loguns are ok but in the wind they suffer big time!

I know, everywhere, like shooting a blasted sidewinder missile without lock, the bloke on the lawnmower owns the wood that my permission backs onto, he has problems with rabbits burrowing under his trees, he also shoots shotguns at clay pigeons but does not like the waiting that shooting in that wood entails, small wood, loads of activity! Just have to clear it so they do not let the dogs out (5 GSDs and a loony Great Dane)! So advance booking essential, they even say we can park the car in their drive, so need to go down a tractor track.

I had a few bad tins last year, and I decided to email Air Arms to tell them that the quality control must be shite. I also told them that I was seriously considering using Bisley long range gold instead of the Air Arms field pellets as they were just as consistent in my rifle.

They sent their apologies and also sent out a free tin of Air arms field, and guess what?

Yeah you guessed it! The skirts were just as bad as they had been in my previous tins :icon_eek: .

I never used to have any bother with them when they first hit the shelves

Was going to ask about this... I've bought a tin of .22 5.52's in the new black tin and they've been awful quality wise, chucking one in 5.

Bit of a shocker really as they've been awesome up until now. I'm going to call them see if they'll replace it.

Hi Davy.

Joking aside, Im the same as Silentshot.

I bought a few tins of AA .22 5.52s ( New Black Tins now saying 16grns? )and also found quite a good number of damaged pellets.

Might try some JSB Exacts instead, I think they are virtualy the same pellet?

I recently gave Daystate Rangemasters 15grn a try in the S10, and they produced excellent results, very clean and well made pellet to.

Bill.
