whin 463 Posted April 3, 2011 Report Share Posted April 3, 2011 gutted them and left them coverd came back with subaru estate, took 108 2 roe a hare in two days took to game dealers and cashed in ,pup got first hare that day ,now its a poxy fisherie for rainbows blue trout etc back then a pond for guests by landowner ,if youve never took numbers and went through the pain barrier to do it hard to beleive for people who are townies or show goers Quote Link to post

There were rabbits everywhere in big numbers and the best out of one sprawling warren was either 16 or 18 with just the one ferret.Great times when i was carefree..... Quote Link to post
whin 463 Posted April 3, 2011 Report Share Posted April 3, 2011 ninties was the best times for rabbiting early ninties the farmers had set a side grants so rabbits went unchecked so big numbers ,but alas the cion was poor but good sport ,had one bit of land 4 thousand acres and between sep march yo could take 3 to 5 thousand a year the old guy rented his feilds all grass and never done the pest control , then they got fencing grants etc box traps , had some wild nites camping out and runing dogs giving dogs rests and going home in morning ful to brim with subbbie estate had some laughs Quote Link to post
