J Darcy 5,871
Just found an old plug the other day as i was sorting out some spinning tackle. Unbelievably this little wooden plug is 20 years old and i can still remember buying it from the local tackle shop. I know that this much-chewed plug is not much to look at, but the pike certainly used to be fooled. One in particular i remember followed the plug in as i worked it with rod held high to skim the top of the weed. A 5lber snatched it from right under the rod tip that made me jump! It was a good job i didnt have a dickie heart! I didnt ever get anything 'big' on this little plug, but who cares, the memories of some great jacks are there forever. And no, today i would never use this old plug...I would hate to loose it.....Tight Lines...JD Quote Link to post
