ferret formula

Recommended Posts

the stuffs a waste of money

Oh, so you've tried it then?

It's no magic forumla, the ingredients are on the bottles, if your dying to give it to them, nip down asda and you'll be able to make up litres for f**k all.

is there different % of each one or all the same % of each ingedients

i cant believe how much attention this has brought.

ferrets have been fine for years. and the owners have managed for the same amount of time without this

honestly i cant see why you would have to buy such a bottle to help look after your ferret.

only one reason i can think of is claw cutting

but i dont think that can justify buying this rubbish.

well said fella

ive got a bottle of this stuff,my 2 ferrets love it.

Well, looking at the feedback its got on Ebay, I'd say those you've actually tried it are very happy. That's good enough for me, not like it costs a fortune...! Its a fraction of the price of Ferretone....!

When joint supplements/electrolytes for horses first came out, many people scoffed too. Now they are used religiously by the worlds top riders! Point is, bit hasty to knock something you've never tried or even heard of before......

Its not being sold as a diet supplement so whats the issue with people going on about their ferrets health?

And, I'd rather give my ferrets something tasty rather than holding them by the scruff to trim claws. Just because people have scruffed for years to do it doesn't mean using something to make it more pleasant for them is a bad thing.

As for the make you own...wouldn't try messing about making a DIY effort without knowing anything but the ingredients....and I don't have enough ferrets to need litres of the stuff!!

You shouldn't need to scruff your ferrets just to trim there claws if there comfortable with you handling them they should just sit there . I trim them in the summer with my son holding them and i get threw a dozen in no time one time i took a bit of straw out the corner of ones eye with a pair of tweezers and she just sat in his hand . Like everything else handle them all the time when your young and you rarely get a problem later in life

They are well-handled, last time I ran out of ferretone, I trimmed the nails without anything and they sat still fine. Only after I'd finished I realised I'd trimmed off half their whiskers as well! :whistling: I prefer a distraction to keep unwanted bits out of the way. Plus I trim claws every month or so and I don't have time to phaff about so the ferrets formula does me fine.

Each to their own all we can say

but to trim your ferrets whiskers when your doing its claws  LOL

anyhow if your happy with the stuff so be it. my OPINION is if you buy it your just falling for the scam it is.

As "The One" said if you handle your ferret enough you should be able to hold your ferret fine without them bothering while you cut their claws or whatever.

and as for making your own yes i said that earlier but i only meant as someone give the ingredients and you can use numerous things to do the exact same job for a fraction of the price and to make even a litre would cost alot less and would last you and your ferret AGES.

Handle your ferrets and work them

the future will pay back for your efforts.

Whiskers bit not as bad as I made out! Still felt bad about it though! :icon_redface: But.....as they say someone who can't admit they made a mistake is either a fool or a liar!

Well, I'm very happy with ferrets formula. I think it's unfair to call it a scam, a scam is either being mislead or paying for something you don't get. That's just not true IMO, it 'does what it says on the tin'. I don't like being belittled over choices I make to treat my ferrets, same as if I was critised for buying them guttering to run through or making 'meat' icecubes to help keep them cool in summer.

My ferrets are well handled, all jills mind, and good as gold.
