Be careful with Panacur, i did a lot of research after losing 2 pups after worming with the 10% liquid. It's very harsh on the dogs intestines and there's info on the net where hundreds of people have posted about thier dogs getting very ill or dying after using it, of course the vet & manufacturers deny this

really? never had any problems using it myself can you put links up to pups that have died from this?

One discussion about wormers http://www.champdogsforum.co.uk/board/topic/68664.html

Will have a look for more but the ones i know about are mainly on Facebook.

From reading through that discussion it states Collies/herding breeds should not be given Milbemax as there is a substance in it which they can react badly to, i would play it safe and not give it to any lurchers with collie in them

One of the quotes from another breeder

"rushed her to vet again but he dismissed the wormer and said it wouldnt be the Panacur.>

It certainly could! My Aunt lost 3 puppies in a litter of large Munsterlanders and the remainder of them were at the Vets on a drip. This was due to the Panacur wormer"

The 1st pup i personally lost was an 8 week old GSD, the second pup was a poodle, it was after the second pup died that i made the connection to the wormer. Both pups died within 12 hours of recieving Panacur 10% liquid, they were weighed & dosed correctly and had been fit & healthy prior to having it, i will never use it again

not having a go at you personaly but don,t believe everything you read,I,ve not read it but to suggest not to give a particular brand to a dug with collie in it seems a bit strange tae me

There's links to veterinary advice not to give this particular wormer to herding breeds

I am sure i also read it on the manufacterurers website but it may have been on a website doing mail order for the product (i can't find it now).
