make good all rounders mate dont matter if u buy cookland or platts theres good and bad in any cross there always litter wastage no matter how good sire and dam is dont be put of with comments slow to start yes quik to stop biggest load of bollocks ive heard u get what u want mate good look

Its common kmowledge that deerhounds have a shorter working life than other crosses. Name me one aspect of lurcher work where they excel over other other types .As stated earlier they need to be mixed with more than just greyhound.

The same can be said about most crosses; name me one aspect of Lurcher work that a collie or beddy or whippet cross excel over other crosses ? You obviously doon't like Deer crosses, thats your perogative. Many others swear by them.

Cheers.

But if my first cross deerhound greyhound pup can do rabbit, hare, fox, deer ( when bans gone ) when I come across them that will be a worthy addition to my kennel.

I keep saluki lurchers but the best way to see if a cross is anygood is Try One rear it and enter it yourself.

If you give it the best and it fails you know youv done your bit of the deal.

Are you still running deerhounds on big ears or have you moved onto salukis ? When was the last time a deerhound won a match? I Cant remember the last time a deerhound x won an obedience comp against collie xs, or a race against whippet greyhounds or anything against anything for that matter !

s.b you know coursing and I know coursing, i have no intention of comparing a deerhound greyhound against a saluki lurcher at daytime coursing, the saluki lurcher is unbeatable at the job fact!

but as coursing is on its arse now these dogs could well be of more value too many as more and more drift away from the agg of the match job.

Im in court 14th april for coursing and if the pricks take my licence and fu*k my livly hood It will be fallow all the way for me.

theve got to find me guilty first I pleaded not guily, Its just one witness reckons he saw our dog running and catching a hare. we were exercising our dogs and had them on leads back at my sighn writen transit truck with my phone numbers clearlie on display, hardlie a subaru is it!

I find my saluki lurchers I have are good on hares and would give any dog a run for its money on the lamp on rabbits round my way, sharp takes squaters and Endless stamina.

but allrounders NO no intrest in charlie, certainlie not deer dogs and to be honest MOST the coursing boys dogs are the same.
