The same can be said about most crosses; name me one aspect of Lurcher work that a collie or beddy or whippet cross excel over other crosses ? You obviously doon't like Deer crosses, thats your perogative. Many others swear by them. Cheers. Quote Link to post

baldockbanks courser 598
probablie not as good as a specialist dog at any single quarie. But if my first cross deerhound greyhound pup can do rabbit, hare, fox, deer ( when bans gone ) when I come across them that will be a worthy addition to my kennel. I keep saluki lurchers but the best way to see if a cross is anygood is Try One rear it and enter it yourself. If you give it the best and it fails you know youv done your bit of the deal. 1 Quote Link to post

Are you still running deerhounds on big ears or have you moved onto salukis ? When was the last time a deerhound won a match? I Cant remember the last time a deerhound x won an obedience comp against collie xs, or a race against whippet greyhounds or anything against anything for that matter ! Quote Link to post

Im in court 14th april for coursing and if the pricks take my licence and fu*k my livly hood It will be fallow all the way for me. Quote Link to post

I find my saluki lurchers I have are good on hares and would give any dog a run for its money on the lamp on rabbits round my way, sharp takes squaters and Endless stamina. but allrounders NO no intrest in charlie, certainlie not deer dogs and to be honest MOST the coursing boys dogs are the same.
