shepp 2,285
I have decided to go for an HW95 as my next gun. When I go and buy the rifle i may be able to sort out a deal if I buy the gun, scope, slip and pellets. With that in mind I wondered what scope I should go for? I have a Hawke Sport 4-12x50 on my HW100 which i am more than happy with, but it would to me look all wrong on an HW95. So I need a lighter weight, un-fussy looking scope with mill dots. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Andy Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
I've a JSR/Leapers scope that's seen a lot of use on my springers and it's now back on my 90. It's the 2-7x32 and it's a perfect airgun scope IMO. Lovely clear optics, very strong and robust and it works as well in low light as pretty much any other scope I've used in spite of it's 32mm lense. Cheers. Quote Link to post
markha 99
I have been using a bushnel trophy 3-9x40 trx and find it a nice, simple scope to use. Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Two great scopes in those answers from Andy and Mark Andy's JSR Leapers is a little beaut and you should check out what JSR are offering. Bushnell Banner and Trophy series make absolutely superb, straight-to-the-point and robust optics perfectly suited to Weihrauch spring rifles. I use those along with some brilliant scopes from Simmons Generally, I have found Hawke scopes unsuitable for HW break-barrel rifles like your HW95 and my HW80 actually smashed a Hawke 4-12x40 reticle recently.. Unless they suit your eye's natural focus length and it happens to be short, I have found the eye relief of Hawke scopes is very long and you'll have mounting problems at the breech when the rifle is cocked.
