A Saluki based lurcher from two very good and well proven saluki based lurchers or long dogs can take a bit of stoping in my honest opinion.

But I think the fact that the parents are real grafters has to be the main thing to take into consideration when picking a good en rather than the specific cross

Do you honestly believe a Deer x Bull is the best allrounder ?? How many dogs have you had or seen ? How long have you been into working Lurchers ? Seems a strange choice as an allrounder !

i,ve had dogs for years ,hunted the last 18 years ,seen hundreds of dogs ,and the best allround dogs i,ve seen is mine ,deerhound/bull greys with a bit saluki in the mix ,and for been a strange choice why would that be ?i,m not talking halfx ,i.m talking a mix of them both

When will folk accept there is no answer to this kind of question as simple as - x breed, or x cross. It's like - what's the best fox/rabbit/deer dog. There's no simpler answer than - a dog bred out of a line of dogs on both sides that are doing the job to a high standard that you want your dog to do.

i'd go for the gsxr 750 x grew as i think the 600x would be to small and the 1000x would be hard to train.

You said deer/bull cross in your post, thats why I said it was a strange choice. Deer/Bull/Saluki/Grey is a different thing altogether. That sounds like a handy cross ! Good luck with them
