hullhunter 219
the only dog worth using for catching deer is a beddy x whippet. read some of the other threads on here http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/171857-beddywhippets/page__st__135__p__1740671__hl__%2Bbeddy+%2Bwhippet+%2Bcatching+%2Bdeer__fromsearch__1#entry1740671 Quote Link to post

shaaark 10,746
It is just a myth that dogs are capable of catching deer ...rabbits and hares yes but no dog could catch deer That is almost the divvy quote of the year I think there was more than a hint of sarcasm in moo's post. If you were breeding a dog for deer then i would of always run it single handed to reduce damage to the meat, and rather than get hung up on a particular cross i'd buy a pup from proven deer catching parents.....
