Why the f**k would you walk a 4 year old through a field with 7 large horses with a dog? I dunno, its bad enough they let any c**t own a dog but something needs to happen to stop clowns from breedin

Whose land was it?   Whose horses are they?   What happened to the horses? Can't imagine having a bull cross "hanging off their necks" did them much good either...   Blimey.

horses are funny fuk**s, i have a few but one that i whip in hounds with and constantly has hounds aroundhim, under him, behind him and banging off him, but when i put him out in the field and take th

I know what you mean Louis, lots of daft owners don't control their dogs near horses and it's a recipe for disaster, dogs yapping and horses trying to nut or stomp. I always have mine on the lead near stock and horses because he is 8m and still learning.

Regarding my post earlier (by the way i didn't start this thread about dogs and horses, i just jumped in halfway down).... To elaborate..... the colt tried to stomp my pup when he was on a lead on a public footpath; it barged me against a gate trying to get him! After my shouts to the owner/stablehands fell on deaf ears and i was backed up against the gate (as well as having dropped my stick), i couldn't do much more than chin it; I only clipped it anyway but it worked and it wandered off toward the other two horses that were chilling out eating grass about 20 yards away.

I'm not a serial horse-puncher!

Why to god youd wanna go in a horse field is beyond me mate ive done that in the past and ive learned to stay clear of them some horses see dogs as a threat if there not used to them not only that but id be worried about them spooking and smashing against the fence and damaging them selves,as for your dog mate id be up the vet getting a boot off a horse isnt good news for us never mind a dog.

Link to post

I understand why you let the dog go with the worry of getting your son out the way, most of them on here are kids so would not understand what its like to be a father, the horse is only wanting the dog i've had it happen to me before, but i had 5 round me going f*****g mad, and i mean mad rearing up right in my face then playing bucker roo, so i let the dogs go they chased the dogs while i got out of the way, then i called the dog out and all was fine, if they come up and push you stand yr ground, but if they going mad like happened to me just get out the way!

But the best thing you can do is don't go in a field with them in, we are putting the horses in a field with a foot path going across it, and we know for a fact the young lad will go mad with people and dogs, so we have made it safe, by fencing it off so he can't get at the people and dogs using the foot path! now if anyone jumps the fence and trespasses and he gets them or their dog well its their own fault!

owners both of horse and dogs have a responsibility not just dog owners, if a dog just gos up and bites a horse then the dog is in the wrong

but in your case they dog was just looking after you, if as you say it has a path going across it then its the owners responsibility to make sure it is safe for you to do so!

and al them saying beat the horse well have a look at this c**t lol

Dog been to the vets he gonna b ok no serious damage bit of a dent in my pocket but at least he gonna be fine. I've also been to see the owner of the horses the horse is also fine no deep wounds I took her a bottle of wine to appologise. She said it's not just me that this has happend to it attacked another dog last week she couldn't say sorry enough either the horse has to rehomed now as it a footpath running through and she has nowhere else to keep it away from thepublic. It's good to know I didn't do anything wrong my dog is stock Broken was on a lead just something I never want to experience again

You prob meet a stallion in a bad mood or a else a mare after foaling recently or else a head the ball.i keep horses myself and they dont like seeing any of my dogs in the field their personality completley changes ,they charge the dogs and the dogs just run to the nearest ditch to get away from them.Im sure the horse had no intention harming you or your son was more interested in your dog.Glad ye came to no harm anyway.
