Me and the Gun 0
Hello everyone, Just thought that I would join, introduce myself and see what happens. Quite new to hunter as an adult, I used to go with me dad as a child, working a few terriers and my dad carried the shot gun. I carried the ferret bag and nets (good excuse to take me). well come back to it at the ripe old age of 45. I just gained my first written permission with another almost in the bag, golf courses that is. Visited the site twice early morning and twice at night. In the mornings only saw squirrel, few rabbits, loads of Canadian geese, this is due to the fact that it runs along side a reservoir. I have shot a few squirrels and one rabbit so far. Been there at night and have found that the rabbit are lamp wise and am finding it difficult to get within range. I use a .22 air rifle PCP, Prestige Kub, side bolt action 10 shot with a thumbhole walnut stock. A set of illuminatered set of scopes with a cree lamp attached. I am a fairly good shot to a range of about 45 metres. The sights are zeroed to 35 metres and have taken all my quarry with head shots. I have shot lots of woodies near too where I live. Anyway talking a lot, hope to speak to someone soon. Mike

Me and the Gun 0
Thanks for the welcome. Off to the permission in the morning hoping to bag something. Giving the site another morning try to see what is about. The bunnies are a little on the shy side, now seeing that it is a golf course you would think that the rabbits would be used to people. This is not the case.
