halamrose 24
If you find waiting for the rabbits to come out boring try to take an interest in whats going on around you. Learning a bit about bird watching and nature stuff makes it all a lot more interesting. Countryfile is pretty poor mind you. Find out about the history of your land, what are the trees and other plants, try and figgure out why they are as they are. Daydream. Once the novelty wears off you will chill out and you wont care if you see any bunnies. The countryside is your natural enviroment and waiting for your prey is an instinctive part of hunting so it will beacome easier once your used to it. Halam Quote Link to post

matt_hooks 188
Oakster - For full information on filling out application forms look in the 2 sticky topics in this section, one is for FAC applications and one is for Shotgun Applications. All the info is on there. And they are really helpful posts too! Sorry Colster, I misread your post. Of course you are correct, 12's are cheaper than 20's (though there's not much in it) The 20 can be a better gun, depends on what you get on with. I know people who swear by them, and can outshoot most 12 bore shooters with them too! Quote Link to post
The_Oakster 2
I've submitted the applications for my SGC and FAC. On the FAC I have requested .22rf and sound moderator. Now on the hunt for cabinets. There seem to be a few around so that shouldn't be a problem. My licensing department are a month or so behind but I know the main man in charge and he said he will sort it our for me. Although if he can't it gives me a few weeks to sort out money for guns and some more air rifle practice. I'm gonna PX the air rifle for a .22rf when the licence comes so that should make it a bit cheaper. My local RFD's have some Baikal 12g O/U's for around the £200 mark and some Anschutz .22rf for about the same so it shouldn't take too long to start collecting the money. All depends on the car staying in working order Thanks for the advice everyone. Its a lot easier when the community on a forum is helpful, knowledgeable and understanding. Cheers. deadly 1
i will give you my advise take it or leave it i have spent in the rejon of 8 thousand pounds on airguns looking for the perfect one, i have a rimfire to .if you only want to shoot rabbits ,i would not reconmend a standard airgun or would i reconmend a fac at 30 fp ,the rimfire im almost scared to fire because im always scared im going to shoot something by mistake the bullets carry for such long range and rebound all over the place ,after spending all this money i have bought a career 707 which will shoot at 75fp ,i can shoot rabbits at 100 yards i dont fear the bullets will carry for such long range i can turn it down to 17 fp it out shoots almost every other gun i had ,and ive had the best ,its not everyones cup of tea but its fast fire, and like i said one of the best guns i shot ,i just bought one of the new sumatras and im very impressed with that, and they dont break the bank 500 pounds new and they will hold the money well, well thats my thoughts and the best scope you can afford i like big mag 32x helps with the extra power at long range.
