J Darcy 5,871 Posted March 23, 2011 Report Share Posted March 23, 2011 Fished a new gravel pit this afternoon that i was told had some pike in. One rod on the float, the other on the leger. Managed to get a very fat 8lb 4oz pike that was obviously heavy with eggs. She snaffled a small mackerel and was only just hooked. I missed two further runs on the float rod and i presume the pike were tackle wary, but the bankside didnt look like it had been fished much at all. I will be going back over the next few months so hopefully winkle out a personal best if i can... Tight Lines JD Quote Link to post
