fat man 4,741 Posted March 22, 2011 Report Share Posted March 22, 2011 Not bothered what breed they are as long as they do the job i want from them,ie...find,and stay till dug to no matter what the depth or what sort of soil or situation it may be.They are all terriers whether they be black white smooth or rough,hard or steady as long as they do the job thats all that matters. burny2011 12 Posted March 22, 2011 Report Share Posted March 22, 2011 hi ,my dad had borders from when he was a lad hes said they were the dog for him they would bush rabbits ,mark rabbits, rat you name it till we had a border who got out the gate and hit by a car .then he did not have a dog to work and my dads mate had just bort 2 patterdales from derek wheeler and he left one at my dads (gave him one or so he was told but my mum had payed him for it )after that he would never have any othere breed .he saye that borders are a good working dog (if from the right lines ) but patterdale terrier are the cream of the cream . we had the first patterdale in the 80s Quote Link to post
