Marek.Only 0
Hi everyone or I should say Darz bor - traditional Polish hunting greeting. Have you ever wondered and thought about the language that you use on hunting? Is it different from the common type that you use at work? How does it look like in different parts of the world? This is what I am dealing with My name is Marek and I am a hunter in Poland for 6 years now (in Poland it is illegal to hunt before 18) and a student of English. I am working on my MA thesis that concerns the hunting language. The work is based on a comparison of English speaking type of language that is used among hunters with its Polish equivalent. In order to show the difference the best way is to compare it in the survey. And this is what i am asking for. If you are not in a hurry and do have 5 minutes to answer 25 questions to ma MA survey please go to: http://www.ankietka.pl/ankieta/53380/survey-addressed-to-hunters-concerning-the-usage-of-hunting-language.html I guarantee that it is a safe webpage. It does not require any information about you and you can leave it anytime. The survey is posted on Polish server and in order to sent the results just click the blue "WYSLIJ" button at the bottom. If you are interested in European hunting culture and how we do it in Poland you can get a contact with me by email: indyanah@wp.pl Here are some photos from my hunting 'career' http://media.lowiecki.pl/zdjecia/opis.php?p=5972 Have you got any thoughts about the language that we use? Thank you Take care and Darz bor! P.S. This is my first post here so please forgive me if i start the topic in a wrong place. Marek.Only 0
Sorry!! My mistake. I mixed up with the link but it is ok now http://www.ankietka.pl/ankieta/53380/survey-addressed-to-hunters-concerning-the-usage-of-hunting-language.html I realise that for some of you it is suspicious but it is voluntary lets say I just ask you for help because I work on your language. It is safe and completely unanimous. Ideation, those hunds from the pics are called Kopov - Slovakian hounds and they are not mine. They are mostly used on driven hunts and put on blood when the game is gone after the shot and there is a risk that is still alive. Kopov chases the game and keeps it in one place until the hunter comes and gives the deadly shot. In 8 weeks I' going to get my own dog - German Wachtelhund. The puppies were born yesterday If you like the pics you can find more no this website (it is the biggest and actually the only hunting website in Polish - propably you won't understand anything but some pics are great http://media.lowiecki.pl/zdjecia/galeria.php?akcja=best&przesun=0 Thank you for your interest and answers take care and darz bor! Ideation 8,216
Yes i like the Kopov, i used to live in the High Tatras, in a place called Zdair, which is not so far from the Polish Border, on the Zakopane to Poprad route. Lots of game in those parts. We had two Kopov types called Nero and Ajax. I wish i had photos.
