was gonna say your coil is knackered mate but if your getting a spark its maybe just not working right , i had 1 that was sparking weak and only sometimes , so a new coil and she was starting fine . just a thought :hmm:

Starts and runs fine when pull started,No spark when electric start is used :(

Could it be that the starter isnt engaging ,can you hear the engine turning over when you press the button or just the starter motor

Turns over fine with good compression just no spark .doing my head in

Sounds like the starter motor is dragging current away from the coil pack, had starters in the past that would spin like a good un off the engine, but once you put a bit of load on them they die,or kill everything else couse they are taking all the pwer from the battery.I'd try phoning an auto electrician and try blagging the info off them over the phone, hth.Bill
