matt_hooks 188 Posted March 22, 2011 Report Share Posted March 22, 2011 Ade, put your roosting bars up high, and your nest boxes down low. They always like to roost above where they lay. I reckon the simpler the better. Always make the roost bars out of square timber. Round is difficult for them to grip and perch on. Make sure that it's easy to get in and clean. Red mites are a big problem, and if you build a place that's all nooks and crannies, if they get in they'll be an absolute sod to get rid of.
