Anyone lost a brindle lurcher?

Recommended Posts

saw an old dear on the park at the weekend with a brindle lurcher, I don't know the breeding but it looked like a grey/whip with a bit of beddy or something in it because it was broken coated, it was probably about 25 tts. She'd found it wandering the streets in Wrexham so took it in but can't keep it because it ragged one of her cats. It was very skinny so it's either been mistreated or it's been wandering the streets for a while. She goes to the park same time every day so if anyone's lost one or had one stolen PM me with your number (with pic if possible) and I'll get her to give you a bell.

So she found a dog and just kept it, made no attempt to see if anyone was missing it? Good on her for taking it in though and looking after it.

She said she'd tried to find out who's it was, she'd phoned vets and dog warden I think. If someone had nicked it from another area and then dumped it though it wouldn't necessarily be registered in this area.

Fair play  I think its really cool that an old lady would pick up a lurcher off the street and take it in!

Just done a quick search on Doglost and came up with

Went off along with a dalmation about 20 miles from Wrexham. By law it has to be reported to the dogwarden. Has it been scanned for a chip. Hope she find the owner soon or at least finds somewhere safe for it to go.

Cheers for that, no it isn't that one unless it's a very old picture. The one she had was probably about 2 or 3 years old, that one's a pup.

yep, don't think her cat thought it was very cool though :D

wierdly though, she said her daughter keeps rabbits in a hutch in the garden and it doesn't pay them any attention at all....maybe the reason why it was dumped (if it was dumped!).

Thanks, I have just called the owner of the 2 missing ones, her pup would be about 7 months old now so it is much too young. As you are in the area would you be able to spread the word on hers? They seem to have vanished off the face of the earth. No sightings anywhere.
