jmilam08 193
Aleight everyone thought id write up about the day i had out today me an a mate have gained some permission which requires the rabbits being cleared as quick as we can and anyway we can. we done a bit of ferreting and had a few half decent bags but this time it was the r10 turn at the rabbits and my mates daystate huntsman bith 177. We got to the permission at 4.30 am and had a quick walk around the chicken pens looking for rats but nothing around,my mate managed the first wo rabbits whilst i was driving up to the first wood. we was gana get out and do some walking but every time we got to the top end of the permission the rabbits wre back out down the bottom end,so we spent the first few hours driving up and down the field margins we managed a further 8 rabbits between us two woodpigeons and a crow thst isnt in the photo because it ended up landing in the middle of a ditch full of shit. not bad for 4 odd hours out with near enough not even taking a step. back down there tuesday for some stalking in the woods for squirrels and some more rabbit clearence, will hopefully have something to write about then. cheers for reading jake. jmilam08 193
Cheers fellas, was a good day first time out with the gun for nearly a month now I think. The place is crawling with rabbits and with the farmers main trade being cattle the place is flocked with crows and magpies to that need clearing. Forget to add the best shot of the day was 56 yards just under the eye taken by my mAte leaning on my shoulder for support out of the van window. Cheers j jake Quote Link to post

Dan_Mercian 27
This is going to sound 100% Noob but is the gun laid on top of the rabbits the same gun you took them with? If so what is it? (looks beautiful) I know naff all about air rifles and was told a decent one would be as good as me applying for a 22lr (I shoot shotguns hence the total lack of knowledge of airguns) But thats hard proof to me that air rifles work well! is it .177 aswell? jmilam08 193
It is a 177 mate it's a BSA r-10,I'd be lying if I said I shot them all with this gun,it was a joint effort between me and a mate, but both guns used were 177 shooting at around 11.4 ftlb. Most of them were shot at ranges between 25 to 35 yards, the long shot being a bit of a one of for our shooting skills. Depending on distances your shooting mate really when you say about live round or airrifle, you can't go wrong with an air rifle though for shorter distances. Quote Link to post
Dan_Mercian 27
Cheers buddy R-10 in .177 it is then! Quote Link to post
jmilam08 193
You won't go far wrong mate there a good gun and really quiet with the right silencer. Also if you get one now you will get the ugraded magazine system which in my opinion makes the r10 unstopable,I'm sure there's a few on here who will agree with me. Quote Link to post
