If you had 300

Recommended Posts

Depends,

If your budget was £300 for a full set up, I would go for a quality secondhand springer. For your budget you could get a TX200HC in mint condition, with a scope, and still have change for a load of pellets.

Springer for set up, but if I could be assured the gn shop could top my gun up I might go for a PCP! We got a BSA Super 10 for £230. Richter scope 3-9x40 with IR and gun bag! OK we needed to get a filling adaptor, but picked one up locally for under £20, that gun is superb, whisper quiet and full powered!

A good quality used HW, Diana or Air Arms springer any day of the week for me. For that money you'd get all the kit you'd need and no need to buy filling gear or have to get it blown back up again at the gun shop every five minutes when it goes flat

I would get a mint second hand hw97, I have a hw77 and it is reliable, accurate and an absolute dream to shoot. Cant help thinking that the hw97 might be a little bit better though so that would be my choice.
