I've always had a passion for dogs and always admired a fast/athletic dog thats built for speed in full flight.

 

I lost my Dad in November soon after 2 other family members and it just made me realise life is short and there may not be a tomorrow so live life for today and do what makes you happy

I'm only interested in rabbits so the ban doesn't bother me, i just want the adrenilin rush and thrill of the chase.

Just curious as to how many folk on here have took up lurchers since the ban came into force? I mean folk who weren't into it before the ban but are new to the game. You have my admiration cos I'm not sure I would have if I were in your shoes....

i took it up after the ban thats when i got my first pup but had been out before with other dogs but i never took it up cause there was a ban i hate the idea of the ban it makes you fell like a criminal for doing something that we were once born to do hunt.

Make something illegal, stick it all over the papers/t.v, let it involve going out at night at 'smashing' shit. . . . . . . and you will ALWAYS get legions of people taking it up for all the wrong reasons! To be fair i now kind of hope the ban stays in place, cos it scares me to think what the idiots would do if they thought they had free reign.

December 2008. Thats when Ossie walked into our lives. He happened to be a Lurcher, so i try to give him what i think a Lurcher needs. Sometime i do, mostly i don't/can't. I liked the Lurcher type so much, we got another. We only rabbit, so the ban makes no difference. I've got a few Farms to hunt on and try to make the best of it.
